Five Academics have discussed the merits of e-books (via Law Librarian Blog). Personally, I’m a massive fan of e-books and I wish more publishers would get onboard. But it seems these academics haven’t yet embraced the amazing resource that is having a wealth of textbooks on your mobile device.
Graduating mid year? Having trouble finding a job outside the yearly recruitment intakes? Guerrilla Job Hunting suggests you try the Pizza Box method. Ask around and try to find the name of a few law firms doing some big litigation work. Then, find the name of some mid-level lawyer working on that litigation. Once you have some contact details, wait till about 7pm, order a pizza and eat one piece for yourself. Then send it up to your secret admiree (who will surely be knee deep in some pointless interrogatory or some such) and attach a note that says ‘the only piece missing is me … ‘
